A productive workplace is one that is comfortable and inviting for employees and visitors.
You want people to WANT to be at work.
A great way to warm up an office space is with the use of plants.
They can we used as dividers with planter units, or individual floor or desktop plants. Or get creative with a green wall or hanging plants from the ceiling! When it comes to greenery, your imagination is the limit!
What are some compelling reasons to invest in greenery in your office?
What do you do when you need to destress? Go for a walk outdoors. Among the fresh air, trees and plants!
A 2019 study found that staff were less stressed with plants in their office. Less anxiety, less depressions, less anger even less fatigue!
Also, green is a soothing colour and most plants are green.
BREATHE IN THE FRESH AIR
We all learned about photosynthesis in primary school. So we know plants convert carbon dioxide into oxygen. It’s a handy benefit for us.
Recent research found that indoor plants can reduce carbon dioxide levels by about 10% in airconditioned offices and by about 25% in non air-conditioned apartments.
Plants placed among hard surfaces will reduce reverberation times of noise and absorb noises.
This will limit noise such as open plan meetings (cough *gossip*) to others in the surrounding area. (Sorry Sue. You’re going to have to try harder to listen in.)
Open plan offices are becoming more popular than ever. We often use screen dividers to give a bit of privacy between desks. However, a planter box, strategically placed on a cupboard dividing desks can be an effective, stylish and subtle way to divide desks.
Plants suit almost every workplace and location. Inner city, suburbia or rural environments would all benefit from bringing a little bit of the outdoors, indoors.
Rosier Commercial Furniture understands office furniture. We love it. We also love design and style.
